FAQ

FAQ 1

What is Stage and Screen Careers?

We have aimed to make Stage and Screen Careers (SASC) as more than just a tech training program; it's really a career transformation company. We specialize in helping artists, especially musicians, to understand the world of technology, and specifically a role as a Salesforce Database Admin and how that can dramatically change their lifestyle while enabling them to continue their artistic career.

FAQ 2

Why Do We Focus on Salesforce Database Administration?

Our experience has shown that the Salesforce Admin role is uniquely suited to individuals with artistic backgrounds. It offers a blend of creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and interaction with diverse functionalities - skills that artists excel in.  And, it’s a role that does not require any formal technology experience or background.

FAQ 3

What are Salesforce Admin Careers and Salaries like?

Salesforce Admins have a broad spectrum of career opportunities, ranging from full-time positions in diverse organizations to independent consulting roles. Based on Salesforce's own data from 2023, the average salary for a full-time Salesforce Admin in the United States is approximately $95,000 per year. It's important to note that if you pursue a position at an arts organization or other non-profit,  salaries in the non-profit sector may be somewhat different, generally lower, compared to those in for-profit businesses.  As for independent consultants, they can typically expect to earn around $70 to $100 per hour, depending on experience, location, and the complexity of the project.

FAQ 4

Who Are Our Mentors?

Our mentors are the core of our program. They are Certified Salesforce Admins with multiple certifications and real-world experience. Importantly, they all are artists themselves who have navigated the journey you're embarking on, blending their artistic talents with a career in technology.

FAQ 5

How Does Our Program Guide You into Tech?

Our program is designed to be your compass in the tech world. It includes:

  • Personalized guidance through self-guided online courses.

  • Hands-on experience with real-world scenarios in Salesforce Database Administration.

  • Regular mentor sessions to clear doubts and gain deeper insights into building a hybrid career.

  • A Certification exam, that will indicate an initial level of proficiency in this field.

FAQ 6

What Training Programs Do We Offer?

Our current program is the Salesforce Associates Certification Program, a 12-week course designed for those new to database administration. It requires a time commitment of around 10-12 hours per week.

FAQ 7

What Happens Next?

Once you complete the program, we are available to work with you to customize a program of learning towards higher-level certifications within the Salesforce ecosystem.  The next certification after the Associates Certificate is the Salesforce Certified Administrator certificate.  This requires an additional commitment of another 2-3 months of part time study, and will set you up to be ready for interviews for entry level jobs as a Salesforce Admin.

Can I do Salesforce Admin Training on my own?

Yes. However, our program offers a unique blend of personalized mentorship from someone who is just like you - an artist-turned-tech professional, that you will not find anywhere else.  And we have found that having a coach at the start who meets with you regularly keeps you on track and motivated  -- much like working with your teacher when learning an instrument, or a trainer at a health club.   Once you complete this initial course, you may decide that you can continue Salesforce learning on your own, or continue on with us.
